the SCULPTURE proces of TASMAN

Tasman is designed and crafted by Astrid Stoltenborg in the beautifull Manenburg atelier in Utrecht under supervision of sculptors Dick Aerts and Amiran Djanashvili. Creating bags and sculptures came together and here Tasman bags was born.
Step 1 It started with mutliple sketches made in clay
step 2 After this the model is remade by hand in wax
step 3 This wax model is used to make a mold
step 4 The mold is use to make the model in plaster
This proces makes the model more and more detailed.
step 5 The final model is also used to make a mold.
step 6 This mold is used to make a model in wax again.
step 7 This final wax model is used for the bronze casting.
